Many public lectures and meetings were organized in the Centre, among which was the lecture by Muris Allia the Nobel Prize laureate in Economics, Professor Rodney Willson, Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Ali and Saleh Kamil. The Centre invited a number of academic scholars among whom were Dr. Mahmoud El-Gamal, the Chaired Professor of Islamic Economics, Finance and Management and Professor of Economics and Statistics at Rice University, Texas, U.S.A., Prof. Agasem from Metropolitan State College, Denver, Colorado, U.S.A., Prof. Khorshied Ahmed from Islamabad, Pakistan, Prof. Sabah El Dien Zaeim from Istanbul, Turkey, Prof. Ishaq Nadvi from New York University, New York, U.S.A., Prof. John Presley from Loughborough University, U.K., Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Suliman from the International Institute for Islamic Thought in Washinton D.C., U.S.A., Dr. Omar Chapra from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency in Riyadh.
