KAAU-Journal of Islamic Economics is currently issued annually by King Abdulaziz University. It covers various theoretical, applied and critical topics.

     - Research papers are subjected to refereeing. Other sections (e.g. discussion papers, forums and book reviews) are not refereed, but subject to editing.

       - Writers of research papers should present two-language abstracts of them (Arabic and English) each not exceeding 150 words.

       - A research paper should not exceed 35 typed pages or 10,000 words, with ample margins on each side of the page, as well as two spaces between lines. Footnotes should be given consecutive serial numbers throughout the research.

       - The bibliography of the research should be written in a single list at the end of the research in alphabetical order according to the last name of each writer. When citing a reference in the footnote, the full bibliographic data of the author should be written, with the first name first, then the last name and the page(s) number. When the same reference is repeated, the international publishing rules should be followed. If more than one reference of a single author is cited they should be distinguished by adding a concise title of the reference.

      - The full name, academic status, place of work and full address (P.O. Box, telephone, fax, email) should be provided by the author.
